In the local department of the Arabic Language Center in Abu Dhabi, an event was held for reading and discussing the book "National Identity in the United Arab Emirates: Between the Specificities of Traditions and Values and Universal Standards," written by Dr. Jamal al-Suwaydi. The book emphasizes the importance of national identity as a key element in the various guidelines of the United Arab Emirates from the moment of the formation of the union to our days.

The author of the book emphasized that he attempted to reestablish the Arabic national identity, which adopts values that are capable of harmonically and positively interacting with the challenges of modernity, but without losing the key features of this identity. According to al-Suwaydi, this aspiration was inspired by the vision of the founder of the country, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who laid the original foundation of national identity.

At the event, researchers, thinkers, intellectuals, specialists, and officials from the Arabic Language Center in Abu Dhabi gathered. The book was presented by Shamsa al-Darayi, a marketing and communications department employee and a member of the "Kalama" reading club.
